As in many other places in Brittany, the revolution caused the du Park family to emigrate to Belgium, where their descendants settled down.
For the "Chouans" who remained to fight the "Bleus" the castle became a place of secret meetings, from where local resistance was organized.
The catalyst of this movement was Pierre TAUPIN. In reprisals for his activities, his wife was arrested and decapitated in the Place de Grève at TRÉGUIER, in front of her 12 children.
Pierre TAUPIN returned from England, where he had gone to seek reinforcements, and continued the fierce fight. He was killed in the cemetery of Tréglamus… the ghost of one of his comrades in arms still roams the residence…
