In the 14 th century, the du Park de Locmaria family, already in charge of the feudal domain, had a new residence built, inspired by the Breton Renaissance, with wide, high windows, fringed with sculptures.
This powerful family, consolidated by skilful alliances with their neighbours, had the right to dovecote, mill, high and low justice, and had a chapel in the wing of the castle.
